Before you go all crazy telling me what a great idea this is, let me apologize. I did not make this recipe up. I saw this recipe for Buffalo Chicken Pull-Apart Bread from Bev Cooks on Pinterest, and knew I had to try it out for myself, with a few adaptations to suit my tastes and make it easier.

This is basically buffalo chicken pizza in a loaf… a loaf of bread you can pull apart and eat. And share. Or not.

One of my favorite things to do when I’m thinking up recipes is to randomly combine things that I love. As I was brainstorming things to make for the Super Bowl Theme Thursday Series, I knew I wanted to make something that resembled a football.

Now, usually the “look-alike” foods are sweet, but I wanted something spicy. No cut out brownies, no cookies, no cupcakes; that’s all been done. That’s when I came up with the idea to use ranch-flavored sour cream to create football details on… something. Potatoes. No, even better, potato skins. Oh, and they’ll be stuffed with meat! They’ll be stuffed with buffalo chicken! BUFFALO CHICKEN POTATO SKINS WITH RANCH SOUR CREAM FOOTBALL DETAILS FOR THE SUPER BOWL.

So you love to serve buffalo chicken at your football gatherings? Well ditch the messy wings with dozens of bones and greasy fingers (which of course wind up being wiped on pillows and pant legs by the less cleanly guests) and try this cheesy, flavorful buffalo dip. Shredded buffalo chicken is mixed with cheddar and cream cheeses for a chip, celery, or bread topping that will have every football fan cheering.
